Express Facial:

For those of you who want a quick skin boost, when time is of the essence, an express facial will revive your skin's radiance, leaving it looking healthy, cleansed and toned.  The 30 minute Express Facial includes exfoliation, mask, and moisturizer. Try an Express Facial during your lunch hour.  First, your skin is cleansed of residual makeup, pollutants, and pore debris. Next, an exfoliation of your dead skin cells is performed to exfoliate layers of dead skin cells. A calming masque is then applied to soothe and refine your new skin. Finally, moisturizer is applied to your face and neck and you are on your way. 

European Facial: 

A 60 minute European facial includes extraction, exfoliation, and massage.

The first step is to cleanse the face. This process helps remove makeup and dirt from the face.  The next step is extraction. This procedure involves removal of milia, blackheads, whiteheads, and any other impurities on the face. This usually involves the skin care therapist using a magnifying glass to help her with the extraction process. During this process, pimples are also treated.  The next step is the exfoliation process. This is where the older and dead skin cells are removed. This can be done through either mechanical crystal free microdermabrasion or chemical devices (using scrubs to exfoliate the skin which contain salicylic acids, glycolic acids, fruit enzymes, citric acids, or malic acids). 

After the procedure is complete, a soothing mask is then placed upon the client’s face based on your skin type (i.e. dry skin, oily skin, sensitive skin, or a combination skin type). Your facial will end with a face, neck, and shoulder massage which helps relieve tension in the body and allows for better blood circulation.

The benefits of a European facial include removal of impurities of the skin such as whiteheads, blackheads, milia and pimples, as well as embedded dirt under the skin. After your facial, your face will feel renewed and youthful. Circulation and blood flow improves, leaving the feeling of being tired, stressed, and tense behind giving you a better sense of self as well as higher self-esteem.

Sports

Sunburn, wrinkles, dehydration and blocked pores are just a few of the conditions that will be addressed.  This facial treatment will also soften perspiration bumps that appear on your face as a result of exercise induced sweat.  This treatment is customized and prepares your skin for gentle extractions.

Anti Acne Facial

The less severe your acne is, the better anti acne facials will work for you. If you are suffering from mild acne such as blackheads and whiteheads, the success rate is typically  80 to 90%.

Moderate forms of acne such as pimples can also be controlled using these facials. However, if you have severe acne, we suggest you work with the dermatologist to see what treatments would be best for you.  Regardless of what type of acne you have, regular facials help to reduce the amount of breakouts you may be experiencing.

Your Skin Care Therapist begins by thoroughly cleansing the skin. Masks, steam, and facial massage may be incorporated into the treatment. The Skin Care Therapist will use products to reduce surface oil, remove dead skin cells, soothe, and/or hydrate. During an anti-acne facial treatment, Skin Care Therapists perform extractions by manually removing pore blockages. Your pores are cleared of excess oil and cellular debris and blemishes are less likely to reform.

If you decide to make facials a part of your skin care routine, remember you will get the best results if they are done regularly. Be sure to tell your Skin Care Therapist about all topical and oral medications you are currently using to avoid unwanted reactions. For example, vigorous exfoliation should not be done by anyone taking Accutane (isotretinoin) or using topical creams like Differin® or Retin-A®.
